About Us
Welcome to the Find Your Blackbird blog! This is where I spend most of my time when I’m not printing. I have a love for all things handmade, from high end clothing to fantastically cheap collectibles and rummage finds.
While I have recently turned my attention to more creative endeavors with the launch of my illustrated collection and the opening of an Etsy store, essentially, Blackbird Tees began as the retail end of an effort to build a community. The goal was to provide a forum for people wanting a more fulfilling life and career, but weren’t exactly sure where to start.
In February 2008, I debuted with a signature line of professional tees. Those individuals looking for a new job or career could create a Resume Tee by choosing a funny plea for the front of the shirt, and then uploading a personal resume to be printed on the back. I recently stopped production of these tees in order to dedicate my week to the continued growth of my illustrated line.

i love the 2 tees i just bought - so classic! as an art museum professional finding the “art nouveau style” on a t-shirt is really unique, usually it is just reproduced on postcards or posters or something. but to be able to wear this out will be inspiring - i am certain of it.
i hope you continue to come up with new designs like the classic blackbird tee!
Hello…I found your website last month and made a neat connection: got several t-shirts for the Granby High (Norfolk, Va) class of ‘67! After all, friends for 40+ years can be original, irreverent & creative. Rock on…
I love it! Now only to decide which tee i want first! don’t make it harder by adding more nouveau illustrations! The techie tee is a perfect one for your favorite IT manager, too. Trust your blackbird, techie, or custom slogan…hmm. I’ll be back!

Just had a client email me your URL because she thought I’d love your concept. She was right, of course!! Would you consider doing a custom design? I have a particular phrase in mind that I use a lot to promote my business and I think it would fit beautifully with what you are doing. If not, no worries, I’m still gonna send you a lot of business, since I work with job seekers and they’ll LOVE this to! I would have sent you a private email, however, could not find a contact page.
